l 15: from a hydrological perspective, the Pacific-Andean basin does not exist, as it is a conglomerate of many basins. Please rephrase to "Pacific-Andean region" or a similar denomination that does not infer a single hydrological basin.

l 99: Andes mountain chain -> Andes (also e.g., l 126)

l 117: drenched with rainfall -> high precipitation regime

l 119: stark: probably not the right word here

l 213: Aslo -> also

l 218: OK typically stands for ordinary kriging rather than original kriging

l 221: please provide details on how the kriging semivariogram was calculated. Was this done on a daily basis (i.e. a different semivariogram for each time step) or on a temporally aggregated (e.g., monthly) basis. If the former, how were zero values taken into account?

l 226 - 232: this section is not clear to me. The variance of the crossvalidation residuals is different from the kriging variance, so the sentence on l 226 - 228 is confusing to me, which makes it difficult to follow the rest of that paragraph.

l 395: implications to -> implications for

l 560: costal -> coastal

l 552 - 568: the discussion of TMPA performance seems to disregard the spatial variability of the KED interpolation. Figure 2 seems to indicate a gradient of KED uncertainty increasing with elevation (i.e. inland). Might this have an impact on some of the apparent decrease of TMPA performance in inland basins (l 561)?
